Who is the real German?

With around 82 million inhabitants, Germany has the largest population of any European country. Many different cultures and compatriots live together in one country. Therefore Germany is said to be very multicultural.
They love to meet and celebrate, both in the traditional style, as during the carnival season, the Oktoberfest and other beer festivals or at music festivals from classical music to rock. But even without the traditional costume the Germans like to have a good time. Germany is a country rich in natural beauty. Between the North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts north of Germany and the peaks of the Alps in the south, there are very different landscapes. From wide river and lake landscapes to hilly plateaus and wooded areas to agricultural plains and industrial cities. The Zugspitze is with 2.963 meters the highest mountain of Germany and the Rhine with its 865 kilometers the longest river that runs through the country. Germany also has 16 national parks and 104 nature reserves.

Germany as an industrial nation

Strong companies such as Volkswagen, E-on and the Schwarz Group Lidl are settling in Germany and together with many other companies, are turning Germany into an industrial nation. It is not for nothing that Germany is valued for its engineering skills. In particular, the trade in machines strengthens the German economy and contributes to its steady upswing.

223 million passengers were carried at German airports last year. The largest airports include Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Berlin and Hamburg. Frankfurt is the busiest airport in Germany.
