Cannes Yachting Festival
Famous for its film festival, Cannes hosts the Cannes Yachting Festival every September since 1977. At his foundation, the event was called “the recreational boating show”, it was only in 2013 that it took his current name.
This luxurious festival is the most important nautical event in Europe. It takes place in the Old Port and Port Canto. This show intends for professionals and the general public. You can find all the main players in the international market: manufacturers and importers of yachts, such as Azimut-Benetti, Sunseeker, Bénéteau and Amati Yachts service. You will also find stands dedicated to marine clothing, equipment, specialised press and service companies such as insurance companies.
To get to the Cannes Yachting Festival by air taxi, the most local airport is Cannes-Mandelieu, it will take you only 20 minutes to get to the show.
Monaco Yacht show
Monaco has always been a pioneer in the nautical sector. Since 1953, Prince Rainier III was very keen on the development of the port and various nautical events. It was under his reign that the Monaco Yacht club was created, a hot spot for yachting and water sports.
The Monaco Yacht show, which combines excellence and innovation, is seen as the largest exhibition of yachts on the water in Europe. It takes place in September on board of the yachts at the Yacht Club, but also in the palaces of Monte Carlo.
Nice Côte d’Azur is the nearest airport, a 45-minute drive from the Monaco yacht show.
Boot Düsseldorf
The Boot Düsseldorf holds in January and since its first edition, it is a real success. This boat show has the particularity of being located inland and not by the sea. It is the place to be for small and large yachts as well as for water sports.
Although superyachts were a latecomer to the show, they became the most visited area of the show. This show has a special feature: the European Yacht Award, which is awarded annually by eleven of Europe’s leading sailing magazines.
To get there by private jet, you can land at Düsseldorf International Airport and then take a 10-minute drive to the show.
Genoa Boat Show
Considered the biggest show in the Mediterranean, the Genoa Boat Show is the combination of five shows, the TechTrade show, the Sailing Word show, the Boat Discovery show, the Living the Sea area and a Yacht and Superyacht Show. All of this takes place between land and sea, in Piazzale J.F Kennedy. It has the particularity of being the showcase of Made in Italy and of the innovation design award.
From Genoa Sestri airport you are only in 25 minutes by car to the boat show.
The Superyacht Show Barcelona
For four days Barcelona will host the Superyacht Show. Developed by the members of the Large Yacht Brokers Association (LYBRA), a Monaco-based organisation that represents the world’s leading superyacht brokerage companies.
The show holds in the Marina Port Vell, a private port in the heart of Barcelona. It aims to attract the most prestigious and luxurious yachting companies. A special feature of the show: it offers guided tours to visitors.
From Sabadell airport, you can reach the Superyacht Show in 30 minutes.
