With Fly Aeolus, fly to Chambéry and the French slopes in your own private jet! The city of Chambéry was built in the 13th century at the foot of the French Alps in the Savoie Region. Since then, the city of 60,000 inhabitants has welcomed skiers and tourists of all ages and nationalities heading towards the mountains. Known for its proximity to many ski resorts, Chambéry is the ideal place for all types of individuals going on holiday, whether they be families, sports enthusiasts, or just tourists looking for an adventure. Nicknamed “The City of Dukes”, Chambéry has a rich and diverse history that can be rediscovered by visiting its old districts and the castles around the city.

An ideal access to winter sports by private jet

With no less than 150 ski resorts within two hours drive from the city center, Chambéry is the ideal place to stay for many vacationers. Whether you are skiing for the first time or you are already a pro-skier, whether you prefer large resorts or small family ones, snow parks or long flat slopes: you will be able to pick the ideal ski location that suits your level, expectations and budget!

In case you aren’t a skier at heart, no worries! You can also enjoy a multitude of other Winter activities in the surrounding area. For example:

●  Spend the afternoon with huskies and go for a dog-sleigh ride.

●  Trek all the way up to one of the refuges hanging from the nearby mountain tops.

●  Climb one of the many ancient glaciers near Chamonix.

●  Start the ascension of the famous Mont Blanc and admire the view from the tallest mountain in Europe.

Unfortunately, Chambéry is not accessed so easily due to its geographical location. Fortunately, it has a well equipped airport, 10 minutes drive from the city. Fly Aeolus can fly you straight to this mountain town by air taxi with minimal efforts required from your end!

Furthermore, Chambéry offers to its inhabitants and visitors great alternatives to reach the French slopes once they have arrived. The best way we recommend to reach the resorts is firstly by car. Thanks to the many rental companies at the airport or in the city, you will be able to compare and choose what vehicle suits you best.

Secondly, you can take one of the many ski-shuttles that leave in the morning before the opening of the stations, and bring you back in the evening, just in time for some tasty local wine and a delicious Fondue Savoyarde.

The French slopes are not only known for the winter sports

For the less snow-oriented individuals, Chambéry is also known for its historical monuments, local culinary dishes and beverages, and thermal establishments:

●  Travel 500 years in the past by visiting the Castles of the Dukes of Savoie or discover the old Chambery districts and their historical monuments such as the famous Elephants Fountain and the Church of the Sacré Coeur.

●  Spend your time at the Challes les Eaux Spa and enjoy a day of relaxation and meditation.

●  Try the Savoie drinks and dishes by joining the tasting visits given by locals and join one of the famous “fondue hikes”.

In summer, once the snow melts, the surrounding mountains become a playground for hikers who like to get lost in nature and breathe in some fresh air, away from big cities and their pollution. If you have a taste for adventure and adrenaline, take to the skies in a glider or paraglide from the one of the many peaks all the way down to the valleys. Finally, if you are more comfortable in water, enjoy a sunny afternoon at the Bourget Lake!

Fly Aeolus takes you closer to the slopes in your own private Air Taxi

Fly Aeolus can drop you off at Chambéry-Savoie Airport, 10 minutes by car or bus from the city center. By flying with our private jets, you can pick the exact date and time of your departure.
